I’m Stacey Sargent. I created Connect Growth and Development to help leaders and teams, make a connection between whole person intelligence and the success of their business. It’s the kind of rational, cognitive plus emotional intelligence – that belongs back in the workplace.

The old corporate culture says business is not personal. But we know this is wrong. Business is personal. Pretending it’s any other way has dehumanized the workplace and given rise to stress, anxiety and dissatisfaction. We’re passionate, we throw ourselves into our work, we try to make a difference, and we have doubts. So the very emotions we’ve been told to “check at the door” – rule our actions all the same.

LET’S CALL IT LIKE IT IS. WHO WE ARE IN LIFE, IS WHO WE ARE AT WORK. SO BRINGING LIFE BACK TO THE WORKPLACE IS HOW BUSINESSES GROW AS PEOPLE.

The team and I deliver programs for new-thinking organizations and leaders who “get” that the well-being and success of their people lead to the success of their business.  We provide leadership and culture programs, facilitation, coaching and workshops for clients like Microsoft, Amazon, Raytheon, Expedia, Bungie, Moz and BigDoor – and through open events.

Whether we’re leading a workshop, or facilitating a planning meeting, it’s inevitable – once the door is shut we may start out talking business, but then there’s this tilt, and people start talking about what’s underneath. Discussions around a project or plan, turn into meaningful dialogues and stories about what’s scaring or inspiring people.

We hold a space for those stories to come out, and instigate conversations that matter. But we’re also there to “keep it real,” too. We connect both sides, the rational plus emotional, as a businessperson and a whole person.
